Products We Find Useful

With our RV experience, we've come across some great products that get the job done.

  1. Weber Jumbo Joe Portable Grill Review

Camping has got to the point where we have a lot of paraphernalia that is brought along with this and to reduce our size for what we actually use we picked up one of these Weber jumbo Joe grills.
We did have an Aussie grill and it did an excellent job for us when we had a family of four that was eating however now that it's just 2 people we have more need for space then we do that bigger grill. Plus the fact that the larger grill usually requires more charcoal makes it a no brainer for us that we need to downsize our cooking ware.
We originally looked at the Weber Smokey Joe which has a 14 inch cooking surface however we were quick to realize that the way we like to cook with accouterments that the grill when it have enough space for the main course and the side dishes.
So we went with the larger 18-inch Weber jumbo Joe grill that I show in the video here. And just like our Performer Series grill that we use at the house this thing doesn't excellent job and we are very happy with the purchase

  2. RV Led Tail lights

Well it's been a long time coming. Every once in awhile on the last three RV that we owned we would have to occasionally tap on the tail light lenses to reseat the bulbs on their purchase so the connection was made to light them up.
I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about because almost everybody seems to need to do this at some point just because of vibration and the way the bulbs are mounted inside the tail lights it just wears them out prematurely.
Well not anymore these led stop tail lights are waterproof and are exceptional with lighting up the area and making sure motorist see that you are stopping and turning with brilliant LED brightness. Plus they're waterproof. Hope you enjoy

  3. Husky Electric Tongue Jack Installation

Alright guys so as I alluded to in previous videos I finally got my new Husky Brute Power Jack installed and I'm extremely pleased with it.
This has a ball bearing design to allow for a smoother quieter escalation of your trailer tongue and it comes with a 6 inch drop down leg to help with faster setup. But even without the leg the travel speed of this check is 10 inches in less than 38 seconds. So it's definitely no slowpoke. And it's very nice and quiet as to not disturb any Campground patrons.
Although I install this on a 24-foot Terry travel trailer that has about a 500 pound tongue weight, the weight rating of this jack will allow me to do quite a bit in the future if I decide to switch it over to another camper because that's how much I love it. I hope this video covers your installation needs. If so, and you like to purchase this jack, make sure to click the link above and I'll take you right to it. Thanks for watching

  4. GPS with a twist , RV Tow viewing camera

This review is to cover just some of the features on the latest offering from Garmin in the form of their Nuvicam GPS. this has the Lifetime maps and traffic features with the HD Digital traffic offering.
This is one of the Prestige units. It has a Built-in front facing camera that shoots in 1080p 30fps. along with video capture it stores location direction and speed and is shown simultaneously during playback.
I really enjoy using this unit and cannot find another one out there at this time that can do all that this one does while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

  5. NEW RV reversible Awning Mat review

The last few times that we went camping we always thought it would be nice to be able to come in from outside without wiping our feet on numerous throw rugs that we had strewn about the camper and on the steps of the RV.

So I did some research into awning mats and found that the reviews on this one we're pretty good so I took a leap and purchased it and this is what I thought of after camping with this mat for the weekend. In a nutshell it's a really good mat, it dries very quickly and other than mud being pressed into it can be swept off with a household broom to stay clean. Its lightweight and stores easily with the included bag.
Although the color seems to be a little bit different then the advertised Brown it is not and unpleasant color and the function of the mat far outweighs the aesthetic discrepancies.

RV Battery Box Disconnect Switch Installation
I tried to keep this video short as possible but like always I may have let it run a little bit longer than it should. Lol.
This is an installation of a battery disconnect switch in the lid of a battery box that's mounted on the tongue of your RV. You could
also use this if you have it mounted on a trailer for a winch operation or other things like that. What I wanted to do is make sure that I could turn off my power supply at the battery box going to my rv without disconnecting the cable every single time. Reason being is that my charger doesn't have the best technology as far as trickle charging and whenever you're hooking up to it it also has a tendency to spark a lot which I don't care to do around the battery as you might guess. So ,what this does is allow me to regulate how much charge the battery gets and if I have the camper disconnected from shore power for some time it's nice that I'm able to turn off the battery so it doesn't completely drain it when not in use.

Inflatable portable solar Luci lantern is AWESOME!

This is one of the best items that I've reviewed in a long time.

Wheel and Tires, I've got it covered
After debating on how to maintain my tires integrity over a period of time and reading quite a few reviews on different wheel cover combinations that were available for my travel trailer I decided to go with the ad ADCO 3923 white double axle tire guard wheel cover. This will cover is for rv that have two axles and accommodates 27 to 29 inch tires. In this video I show my overall measurement from front to rear on the tires that I have and show how this cover fits. Also I show how this cover addresses a slightly
different issue that you may or may not have with wheel chocks as I have the wheel chock system that goes in between the axles and holds the tires. In the link above will bring you to this specific wheel cover however you will also have the option to choose the ADCO
3922 which covers 3232 inch tires and wheels.

Heng's Vortex RV Vent Fan Install

Most of us that have been watching RV channels for a while now realize that a lot of the factory fans that are included with our travel trailers and fifth wheels and also motor homes are just subpar and don't do that great of a job unless the manufacturer happens to using a specific  which brand name is "Fantastic Fan" .
Although that fan is a very good fan and does a really good job it also comes at a premium price ranging from $130 up to $320. A lot of us, don't want to spend that kind of money on something that just doesn't get utilized all the time and it's really not necessary for a Pleasant RV trip but it does make it more enjoyable.

So I want to show you in this video that there are other options and in this case in the form of a fan from Heng's called The Vortex II.. Not only can this fan do similar to what the fantastic fan can do it can also do it coming in just under $54.
Not stopping there with just that one benefit you can also make the installation on this fan from inside the camper and it does not require you to get on the roof and have to reseal while you install a complete fan assembly as required by the Fantastic Fan.. Not only did I include my thoughts on this I also put step by step instructions in the video so you can follow along and install this item too.. Just click the link in the description to make sure you get the exact same one..

RV Stabilizer jack INSTALLATION and what to look for
In this video I discuss the considerations when deciding what stabilizer jack you will need for your RV, travel trailer or camper. Whenever I first started looking for information on what jacks I needed I found that there wasn't anyone source that told me everything that I needed so I can make a educated decision to purchase. So in this video I attempt to discuss all the things that I found out during my research so I could install these on my camper and they would not only be the right ones but mounted correctly so they would not fail or beat or off during transport. There's a lot of different brands out there Camco, BAL, Husky and Atwood all come to mind off the top of my head. Hopefully after you watch this video you'll feel confident enough to purchase a set of jacks and install them and have the same success as I did. Click the link above and it will take you to the jacks that were used in this video Which are rated for breakage at 5000 pounds.

Rusty,Unsafe hitches happen...watch and see how bad mine was.
Before you buy watch this video
Before you purchase a hitch for a tow vehicle you may want to watch this video. Although this video covers Ford pickup trucks F-series) it also applies to other pickup trucks from Dodge, Ram, Chevy and GMC. It also applies to vans such as Econoline. In this video I talk about f150 f250 and F350 hitch installs. Of course this will also work for many other vehicles such as motorhomes. What I talk about mainly is the difference between Curt and Reese hitches. I have to discuss the differences between the tow ratings and the capacity for each hitches abilities. I hope this helps out.
